The Door Trail in the Badlands National Park demonstrates the meandering terrain and abrupt, impassable drops for which the park is named. The trail ends, not far in, surrounded by steep drops of over fifty feet.
Awoken from my tent by birdcalls, I witnessed this magnificent sunrise over the ocean from Eagle Island in Saco, ME.
A short detour from I-95 North, this scenic overlook provides the first view of Maine tallest mountain for those heading north.
